The Hard Questions

Some questions cannot be answered simply, but that doesn’t mean that they shouldn’t be answered.  The problem is, we live in a world where complicated answers are often not tolerated.

Maybe “not tolerated” is the wrong wording.

Maybe it would be better to say, people just don’t have the patience for complicated answers.  I see this often times when my children ask complicated questions.

As I begin to explain, they hang with me for a short amount of time before it becomes very obvious that they are not interested any longer.  Sometimes they even stop me and ask if there isn’t simply an easy answer.

In a world where the internet will give us an immediate answer – right or wrong – we’ve grown accustomed to taking what we’re given, no investigation necessary.

Why am I going on about all of this?

This month I’m going to attempt to answer some hard questions about why this world is in the mess that it’s in and I’m going to attempt to sell you on a biblical solution.

The challenge for you and me both is that the answers are complicated.  So, let’s be patient with one another and give one another grace.

It’s my prayer that the Lord will be honored as we look deeply into His wonderful mysteries.

Much Love,
